Christina & Anthony

May 28, 2006

My name is Christina Lambrakos and I was fortunate enough to have Debra Thompson coordinate and plan my wedding. My husband, Anthony, and I were married on May 28, 2006 and thanks to Debra our wedding was more magical than we ever could have imagined.

We became engaged on New Year's 2005 and Debra was there each and every step of the way for the entirety of our 17 month long engagement. Very shortly after we became engaged, Debra was there to walk me through all the details of wedding planning. She helped me make a "Wedding Planning Binder", which was invaluable to me in the months to come. From the very beginning, Debra was very perceptive of our personal tastes and desires. She knew at first glance the kind of bride I hoped to be. She knew that I aimed for timeless elegance and a warm, intimate ambiance. Debra was also sensitive and tuned into the fact that my husband and I both come from very strong Hellenic backgrounds and that our traditions are very important to us and our families.

About a week after we became engaged, Debra came over to my home with a warmth and enthusiasm that surpassed any of our expectations. We stayed up late into the night, celebrating with champagne and discussing my vision of the perfect wedding. Debra did not miss a beat. She knew exactly the questions to ask and she always seemed to be on step ahead of me, knowing what I would and would not like. By the end of that evening I felt confident that she was the perfect advocate and visionary to assure that my dream became a reality.

As part of the planning process Debra came with my mother and me to try on wedding dresses. She was positive, honest, enthusiastic and patient as I tried on practically every dress in the store, only to end up with the very first dress I had tried and fallen in love with. Not only was she there when I selected my wedding dress, but she actually came with me to select each of my accessories, ranging from wedding shoes, stocking and even hair products. Debra even stayed up with my mother and me to help with our wedding favors. When selecting and introducing us to each of our vendors, including: videographer, photographer, florist, make-up artist, hairstylist, etc. Debra was always concerned about finding the vendor to suit my personality as well as my tastes. Thanks to her, on our wedding day, my husband and I were surrounded by people we trusted and felt comfortable with.

On our wedding day, Debra was the first to arrive at my house at 8:30 am. She was there as we all had our hair and make-up done. Debra was even there to assist me in getting dressed for my special day. She helped to coordinate my family, bridesmaids and flower girls, making sure they each had their flowers and were ready for photographs at the right moment. Debra was even there at the church as I prepared to walk down the aisle. She puffed and primped and prepared me for the most important moment of my life. On that day, as she had throughout my engagement, Debra looked after my every need and desire not as a wedding planner but as family. My vision became her vision and my happiness became her happiness. She made sure that every detail was perfect and that not a single whim or want went unmet. Before my wedding, many people told me that the day would go by as a blur and that we would probably not remember most of what happened. We are both fortunate enough to say that this was not the case for us. On our wedding day I floated on a cloud of joy and bliss. We did not have to worry for a second that there would be any need unmet because we knew that Debra would ensure perfection. Thanks to Debra I can honestly say that I clearly and vividly remember the most important day of our live as the day that my fairy tale became a reality.
