From my very first conversation with Debra, I knew that she was the person who would help to ensure we had a wonderful wedding day. She was extremely kind and sensitive on the phone and something told me that she would be with us every step of the way... and I came to find out that that was an understatement. As everyone knows a brides' mom is an integral part of the wedding process. However, both of my parents are deceased, and sadly for me, I did not have my Mom to review every single detail with me and my fiance - but we had Debra.
Meeting her in person only confirmed our thoughts... she was the one to help us plan for the big day.
Debra was instrumental in ensuring every last detail was perfect... from hair, headpiece, make-up, the cake, the final contract at the country club, the food!! And how many extras we received... she was extremely helpful. Additionally, Debra came to our home to meet my fiance's children to ensure that they were part of the special day. She came bearing gifts and worked with each child to provide a role for them and make them a special part of the big day. The children instantly like and felt comfortable with her. They constantly ask how Debra is and when she will be coming over to see us. What an amazing impact to have on two teenagers one has never met before.
On the wedding day itself, Debra totally takes charge... do not get in her way! I mean this in the most loving of ways, as what she does is look out for the bride and groom. She sees to their every need while ensuring that every single detail is being handled up to her high expectations. She made sure the chuppa was exactly what I had dreamed about. She ensured that everyone's make-up and hair was what I had discussed with the artists. Even though there was a bridal attendant, she was the one who made sure my dress was on perfectly. Then she ran our rehearsal. She ensured that both my husband and I had a glass of champagne to drink while we toasted our guests. And lastly, she actually helped us pack up our car and sent us on our way at the end of the day.
Words cannot express the heartfelt thanks that both my husband and I feel for Debra. When we met her, we hired her to plan our wedding - now we think of her as a lifelong friend and part of our lives forever.
